Frequently asked Questions
What is the best class for me?
Astanga and Vinyasa Flow are for those who enjoy slightly more dynamic, flowing sequences. Hatha, Iyengar and restorative classes tend to focus in on specific poses in more detail and often for a longer time. The Wednesday Community class is for everyone, but particularly aimed at those challenged with injuries and balance issues or those newer to yoga seeking a gentler practice. This class is also subsidised and financially more accessible. Intermediate classes are for practitioners with at least 2 years of yoga experience. For any queries about the suitability of a class, please email us or text 07768 548338 and we’ll forward your query to the relevant teacher.
Can I just turn up for a class or do I need to book?
Best to register with us and book ahead of the session to secure a space. Sessions can be booked through our website or the Mindbody Client App. The Vishuddha Centre is cash-free and all payments are processed online. Saying that, if you are already registered, you can just come along to a class. Providing there is space in the class, you will be added to the class list and can make a card payment in situ or the class can be deducted from your prepaid multiple class pass.
What do I need to bring with me for class?
All the required equipment for the practice is available at the studio, including mats, which are cleaned between sessions.
Is there a place where I can change before/after class?
Yes, we have a changing room equipped with lockers.
Is there car parking nearby?
There is no car parking on Osney Island, except for the disabled, but we have 6 spaces for bikes inside the building.
