About Shaili:
I am a professional Level 3 (Senior 1) Iyengar Yoga teacher and mentor. My journey with Iyengar Yoga began at the age of ten in 1994 when I joined the children’s classes at the Iyengar Center of Tehran in Iran. As a child, I also attended remedial classes since I was born with hip dysplasia. Yoga has been a lifelong source of strength and inspiration for me, and the global Iyengar Yoga community has become my second family. Through yoga, I have had the privilege of traveling extensively, including several visits to India, to the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) and to Bellur. Much of my understanding of yoga is owed to my teacher, Faeq Biria, who profoundly influenced my approach to the path of yoga. I have attended more than a thousand hours of intensive workshops with him and relied on his guidance until a couple of months before his passing. I earned my Introductory 1 certification from Faeq in France in 2006 and obtained my Senior 1 certificate in the UK in November 2018.
