Day Retreat with Bertie Jesson

We will spend the day exploring asana (posture), pranayama (controlled breathing), introduction to meditation and relaxation focusing on the philosophy of the 8 limbs of Yoga.  The philosophy of Astanga (or eight limbs) gives an ethical framework in which to access a greater understanding of Yoga and its background.

During the asana practice we will have time to explore the postures in greater detail bringing in the anatomy and physiology of each pose.  Pranayama, the key to connecting the mind of the body, will allow us to deepen our breathing, lung capacity and is a stepping stone to meditation.  If you have not practiced meditation before this will be an opportunity to access it if you have it will be a chance to explore your practice.  We will finish the day with an extended Yoga Nidra.

I will bring a light lunch for us to share to allow us to enjoy the concept of Sangha (community) with like minded Yogis.

Cost: £70 Book here
