Rhythm, Movement, Fluidity - Life is movement, and rhythm forms its essential foundation. Through dynamic, oscillatory, and rocking techniques, we can invite a sense of flow and playfulness into the body and into life itself. Modern living often creates patterns of tension and rigidity in the body, leaving us disconnected from our natural rhythms. This can result in restricted movement, stress, and an overburdened nervous system.
In this workshop, we will explore rhythmic and harmonic techniques. These gentle yet powerful tools work with the body’s natural frequencies to restore fluidity, support the nervous system, and release held tension. We access a sense of ease and adaptability, creating space for healing and a deeper sense of vitality.
We will work on:
Using rhythmic, rocking, and oscillatory movements to support the body’s natural mobility
Exploring harmonic techniques to soothe and release the nervous system
Creating fluid transitions and variations in rhythm for continuity in your massage work
Introducing dynamic techniques to encourage the body to "unwind" and release held tension
Deepening understanding of how movement interacts with the Water Element in the body
This workshop is for floor-based bodyworkers (Thai Yoga Massage, Shiatsu, Ayurvedic massage etc). The majority of the time will be spent practising the techniques with one another. The workshop will also model how to hold a safe and trauma-informed space for clients to receive these dynamic and rhythmic movements.
By the end, you will have a sequence/selection of techniques for bringing fluidity and rhythmic play into your bodywork. These approaches will enable you to support your clients in reconnecting with a sense of ease, movement, and adaptability in their bodies and lives.
There will be a light lunch provided in the Vishuddha Social area.
